With its matte black shell and brown or black leather finish, the Reference helmet is simple and classic. Its timeless design adds to the comfort of a breathable helmet. The helmet meets European and American standards, allowing riders to ride in safety.

The Reference collection is the Antarès helmet in its most understated and discreet version. The shell is completely matte, with chromed details.

Customisation of your Antarès helmet

If you wish, you can change the colours of the stripe, headband, and triangle of this model to create a unique helmet. In its classic version, the elements are chromed. Composition of your Reference Race riding helmet

The shell

The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy from the impact over the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shockwave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches.

The inner foam

Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by contracting. The foam thus becomes much denser. Its density varies based on the sizes of our helmets. To observe the effects of an impact on the foam, check our blog article.

The ventilation

Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is thus improved.

The retention system

The harness ensures a secure fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped fixing system has points that are spaced further apart, which reduces helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon, and the buckles are POM.

The helmet pads

In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams provide a perfect fit for your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will conform to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, certified OEKO-TEX®, and hand washable in lukewarm water.

The cross visor

The short visor has been designed to meet the requirements of jockeys in horse races and protect the rider in case of a fall. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the flexibility of the visor when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. Therefore, the visors of Antarès helmets are intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped to return to its original form.

The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet easily. It is thoughtfully designed, with a large central pocket and a big zipper to facilitate helmet storage.
