Tetra pH/KH Minus is a reliable solution for safely reducing carbonate hardness (KH) in your aquarium. As KH decreases, the pH value automatically decreases as well, creating optimal water parameters for certain fish species. Many freshwater ornamental fish thrive in environments where KH is 4 °dH and pH is below 7.5, making this product essential for maintaining proper living conditions. To use Tetra pH/KH Minus, add up to 25 ml for 100 litres of aquarium water, using the measuring cap for accurate dosing. Repeat this every 2 to 3 days until the desired KH level is reached, with each dose lowering KH by approximately 2 °dH. During treatment, ensure good aeration using the Tetra APS range and avoid adding CO2. For instance, use Tetra Test 7in1 to determine the water parameters of your aquarium. It is important to regularly test the water parameters to maintain KH levels between 2 and 4 °dH to avoid significant drops in pH.
