BR Equitation Needle Bit

This high-quality double-cut needle bit with removable shanks is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings and shanks. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The material's oxidation process spreads a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a gentle, even pressure distribution. The combination of Cuprigan's design and unique composition help stimulate chewing and salivation, resulting in a delicate bond with the horse's sensitive mouth. The bit has a normal action in the mouth. The canon bit has a thickness of 12 mm and a shank length of 165 mm.

A needle bit can be used with needle bit loops. They hold the bit in place and provide slight leverage. The needles prevent the rider from pulling the bit out of his mouth and allow the horse to be well guided. The bit is therefore also suitable for young horses.

The canon bit is in three parts. The central part of the canon lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single bit. The thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue.
