This mercury vapour lamp reproduces the sunlight that reptiles need. It combines visible light and infrared heat with natural UVA and UVB radiation. The UVA enables reptiles to see well and stimulates appetite as well as the immune system. The balanced and safe UVB radiation allows for the synthesis of vitamin D3 and prevents bone diseases. The infrared helps reptiles warm their bodies while basking in the sun. The lamp is equipped with overheating protection: it switches off when it gets too hot and restarts once cooled down. The lamp should only be used vertically in a well-ventilated E27 ceramic holder. Also available in the Terra Della range. Four different wattages are available. The size of your terrarium and the species of reptile determine the necessary wattage.
