These materials allow for improved carrying areas, relieving pressure on the withers and spine. A perforated synthetic shock pad allows air to circulate between the saddle and your horse's skin. An ideal dressage saddle pad for sensitive horses that require a high level of breathability.

Merino wool is a natural shock absorber and is thermoregulatory. Wool has the ability to absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture and when used in conjunction with our advanced Airtechnology, it allows moisture to escape, keeping your horse dry and comfortable. Together, these fabrics form a technically advanced system of protection and injury prevention.

Our new spine design was developed to reduce pressure points and provide the best possible protection for your horse. With a larger surface area covering the entire panel area under the seat, the natural fibers effectively wick moisture away from the skin, distribute pressure evenly and facilitate shock absorption.

Light-column designs can cause pressure at the seams, which can lead to chafing, sores and uneven pressure distribution. To prevent this, all Premier Equine merino wool saddlecloths no longer have a clear spine design to improve comfort and protect your horse.
