Bring authentic Italian flavor to your kitchen garden with Genovese basil Bioponis, perfect for your pesto and pistou soup recipes!
Italian variety with a strong aroma, basilic genovese is most often used to make pesto or pistou soup. You can also use it in a vegetable stir-fry, or in salads.
Flowering makes the leaves bitter and stops growth. We advise you to trim your basil plant regularly, before it flowers.
After harvesting your garden, you can freeze what you haven’t used either by placing the leaves in an airtight freezer bag, or by chopping the leaves into ice cube trays filled with water or oil and then freezing them. You can also keep your basil leaves directly in a bottle of oil to infuse it. Drying will cause a lot of flavours to be lost.
Before consuming any aromatic or medicinal plants, it is advisable for those undergoing treatment, children, and pregnant or breastfeeding women to seek medical advice.
Store in a cool, dry place. To be used within 12 months of purchase.
