The shell

The outer shell of the helmet, which is thicker, is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of the impact across the helmet's surface. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Sturdy and lightweight, it is known for its high scratch resistance.

The inner lining

Featuring a new innovative shape and made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), the inner lining absorbs the energy generated by impacts as it disperses. It crushes down and thus becomes much denser.

The interior is partially covered with blue honeycomb pads: the ERT (Energy Reduction Technology). This new technique allows for better energy distribution from both small and large impacts. Additionally, it has an anti-rotational action. By acting along the shell during a moving impact, the honeycomb pads follow your head movements to minimize the risk of trauma.

The ventilation

The Précision Galaxy riding helmet features several vents: 11 holes are present inside the helmet and 2 vents are located at the front and back of the helmet. This innovation provides better air circulation and thermal regulation. In addition, ventilation channels are present beneath the visor, which also promote better internal ventilation.

The fastening system

Completely redesigned for more convenience, the helmet's fastening is equipped with a Fidlock magnetic buckle. Its purpose is to secure the helmet with one hand. The attachment of the riding helmet is equipped with a polyamide safety ring, providing double protection for the rider.

The harness, made of leather and nylon, ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. Fixed at 3 points that are further apart, it prevents the helmet from moving on the head during sessions.

The inner cap

Made of foams, lycra, and 2D mesh, the inner cap allows you to perfectly adjust your riding helmet. Removable, it can be regularly cleaned. Discover our helmet foam here.

The little extra?

Elastic bands at the back of the helmet allow for decompression at the back of the head. This way, you can ride with your hair tied up.

The standard visor

The European standard EN1384-2023 requires that the visor bends when a load is applied to it. This prevents it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of the Antarès helmets are therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped back to its original form.

Even if the helmet has not undergone impacts, we strongly recommend changing it every 5 years.
