The Précision Référence helmet has been designed to better protect you while on foot or horseback. Thanks to the work of our Research and Development team, this technical helmet complies with the new 2023 standard. The Reference model, entirely black, ensures a simple and sophisticated look.

Composition of your riding helmet Précision Référence

The Shell

The outer shell of the helmet, which is thicker, is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of an impact across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell spreads the shockwave by dissipating it. Sturdy and light, it is known for its great scratch resistance.

The Liner

Featuring a new innovative shape and made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), the liner absorbs the energy emitted by shocks by dispersing it. It thus becomes much denser.

The inside of the liner is partly covered with blue honeycomb pads: the ERT (Energy Reduction Technology). This new technology allows for better energy distribution from both small and large impacts. Additionally, it has an anti-rotational feature. By acting along the shell during a shock while in motion, the honeycomb pads follow the movements of your head to limit the risk of trauma.

The Ventilation

The Précision Référence riding helmet features a new ventilation system with 11 vents inside the helmet and 2 vents at the front and back of the helmet. This innovation provides better air circulation and good thermal regulation. Furthermore, ventilation channels are present underneath the visor. They also promote better internal ventilation.

The Fixing System

Completely redesigned for more practicality, the helmet attachment is equipped with a Fidlock magnetic buckle. Its purpose is to allow the helmet to be secured with one hand. The attachment of the riding helmet features a polyamide safety ring. It provides double protection for the rider.

The harness made of leather and nylon ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. The Y-shaped design of the fixing system with spaced out points, also known as a 3-point fastening, ensures good stability of the helmet on the head. The straps are made of nylon.

The Inner Lining

The inner lining is made of pads, lycra, and 2D mesh. It allows for a perfect fit of your riding helmet. Removable, it can be regularly cleaned. Discover how to maintain your padding here. (link)

What's the extra comfort?

The elastics at the back of the helmet help to decompress the back of the head for more comfort. Thus, you can ride with your hair tied back.

The Standard Visor

The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore deliberately flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to return to its original shape.
