With its matte black shell and brown or black leather finish, the Référence helmet is subtle and classic. Its timeless design adds to the comfort of a breathable helmet. This helmet meets European and American standards, allowing the rider to ride safely.
If out of stock, the lead time is 6 to 8 weeks for size L.

The Référence collection is the version of the helmet Antarès in its most understated and discreet form. The shell is completely matte, and the details are chrome-plated.

Personalisation of your helmet Antarès
If you wish, you can change the colours of the strap, the headband, and the triangle of this model to create a unique helmet. In its classic version, its elements are chrome-plated. Composition of your Référence riding helmet
The shell
The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the impact energy over the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches.

• The inner lining
  Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy released by the impact by contracting. The inner lining thus becomes much denser. Its density varies depending on the sizes of our helmets. To observe the effects of an impact on the inner lining, consult our blog post.
• The vents
  Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.
• The retention system
  The harness ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped fastening system is designed with points spaced further apart, which reduces helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles are made of POM.
• The helmet pads
  In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams allow for a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will conform to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the cleanliness of the helmet. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and hand washable in lukewarm water.
  The foams are sold with the helmet.

The cross visor
The short visor has been designed to meet the demands of jockeys in horse racing and to protect the rider in case of a fall. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to return it to its original shape.

The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet easily. It has been designed with careful attention to detail, featuring a large central pocket and a big zipper to make storing the helmet easier.
