The Référence collection is the most understated and discreet version of our Antarès helmet. The shell is completely matte and the details are chrome.
Customisation of your Antarès helmet
If you wish, you can change the colours of the strap, the band and the triangle of this model to have a unique helmet. In its classic version, the elements are chrome. You can choose your helmet customisation colours as you like!
Composition of your riding helmet Référence
The shell
The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of the impact across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches.
The inner lining
Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by retracting. The inner lining therefore becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the consequences of an impact on the inner lining, check our blog article.
The ventilation
Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.
The retention system
The harness ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped fastening system has points that are further apart, which reduces the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles are made of POM.
Bonus: the Antarès harnesses are made from leather sourced from their bespoke saddles. Aesthetic and responsible!
The helmet pads
In contact with the rider's head, the high-quality foams provide a perfect fit for your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adapt to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the cleanliness of the helmet. Manufactured in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and can be hand-washed in warm water.
The European standard EN1384-2017 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore purposely flexible. In case of deformation, they can be manually adjusted to regain their original shape.
The Antarès helmet consists of:
- a shell (available in 3 sizes S - M - L)
- a 'head circumference' pads set (set B) to adjust the shell to the head circumference, which determines the size of the helmet.
Available in 4 thicknesses: 4 - 8 - 12 and 16 mm. The back part of the 'head circumference' pad is removable to leave potentially more space for a ponytail or to gather hair inside the helmet.
- a 'top-front' pads set (set A) to adjust the depth of the helmet on the top of the head and the front of the helmet. Available in 2 thicknesses: 4 and 8 mm.
The SET A of foams (which goes at the bottom of the helmet and at the front) is included in the price of the helmet. The SET B of foams (which goes on the sides) is to be purchased in addition to the helmet. Both types of foams are absolutely necessary when wearing the helmet. The foams are machine washable at 30 degrees and should not be tumble dried.
You have a 5-year warranty from the date of manufacture of the helmet to request a revision of your helmet.
Note: Antarès helmets are rounder in shape; if you have a more oval head, we recommend taking a size up.
